Smoothish Hawkweed - Hieracium floribundum (Composite or Daisy family - Compositae) The flowers are like dandelions but the leaves are not. A highly variable group. This species has a solitary blossom (rarely 2 or 3). Leaves mainly in basal rosette. Similar to Mouse-ear Hawkweed but these leaves are smooth on the upper side and have a whitish bloom.

 

 

These flowers close at night. The plant spreads rapidly by leafy runners as well as by its numerous dandelion-like seeds. 4 in - 1 ft. Pastures, fields, lawns.
