Crown-vetch - Coronilla varia (Pea family - Leguminosae) Note the cloverlike cluster (really an umbrel) of bicolored (pink and white) flowers at the end of a long stem. The stems are creeping. Leaves divided into many small paired leaflets. Roadsides.

The common and generic names refer to the circular cluster of flower; Coronilla is Latin for "little crown." These plants are often planted on the banks of highways to prevent erosion.
