Synopsis: When newlyweds Tyler and Mariane Thorncraft arrive at their honeymoon getaway, they find not a romantic retreat but instead a seemingly abandoned old house, cozy as a bat cave and rumored to be haunted. The one-time mortuary turns out to be inhabited by an axe-wielding ghost and, upon the Thorncraft's arrival, quickly fills with a motley assortment of characters. A daffy maid, a dopey policeman, an escaped lunatic, an old flame and band of high school pranksters all arrive on the scene. A debacle ensues as the house becomes a revolving door of wacky personalities unwittingly crossing paths.

The cast included many veteran actors to the Smith Creek Playhouse stage whose performances were a splendid display of local talents. The show featured Rich Gardner, Jodie Gardner, Dwayne Propst, Teri Thompson, Diane Anderson, Whitney Bowers, Kevin Propst, Justine Harper, Justin Allen and Hillary Kiser, with Dwayne Propst directing.

Dwayne Propst commented on how difficult it was to both direct and act in a production, especially with a show that relied so heavily on the character's body movements to convey the plot and humor of situations. But he expressed confidence in the troupe of actors he has assembled and said, "The crew is bursting with anticipation for the opening of the show — I think we have a really great cast, and this show has the potential to be the funniest one we've ever done at Smith Creek Playhouse."
