"The Musical Adventures of Tom and Huck"

Mark Twain's incomparable boyhood characters, Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn, their friends, family and cohorts were brought to life and lyric in Pendleton County's Smith Creek Playhouse production of "The Musical Adventures of Tom and Huck." Over thirty young singers, actors and dancers lit up the stage with the classic musical of a whimsical summer enjoyed by two carefree boys growing up in a small town on the Mississippi River. Many of the great Mark Twain anecdotes were here: "Paintin' the Fence," the homemade raft floatin' down the Mississippi, the sleazy con men who came to fleece the unsuspecting townsfolk, and the ornery barefoot kids of the river town.
