Almost
Heaven Habitat for Humanity, with
an office on Main St. in Franklin and a volunteer center in Cherry
Grove, is the Pendleton County affiliate of the well-known parent
organization, dedicated to helping people of modest means become
owners of decent, affordable housing.
This Christian-based housing ministry has enabled many Pendleton families to experience the pride and empowerment of home ownership as they work along with the volunteers to build their own homes. Incidentally, Almost Heaven Habitat for Humanity is responsible for introducing many people to the wonders of Pendleton County, who initially came here as Habitat volunteers and then chose to return as tourists or to become permanent residents.
