The Franklin Vol. Fire Dept. will be renting areas for campers from mid-October 2010 until the last day of WV deer season.

Seneca Rocks Discovery Center

       
The Discovery Center at Seneca Rocks is the best place to begin an adventure in the Monongahela National Forest. Interpretative displays, slide shows and movies explain the culture and history of the region, and its geological and ecological significance.

Golden Eagle GPS Tracking

       

Use this link to see migration route of two Golden Eagles. Perhaps someone in Pendleton County saw #40 as he passed through the North Fork valley in late November and early December. Report all eagle sitings to Brad Bowers.

Farmers Market Saturdays beginning 1 July. 8 a.m. - 12 noon. Corner of Rts. 220 & 33, across from Exxon, Franklin. Call (304) 249-5817 for more information and to find out how to sell produce at the market.

Friends of the Library Their meeting date is the first Tuesday of each month. Anyone interested in the activities of the library is welcome to attend. Meetings are held at 4:00 p.m. in the basement of the Pendleton County Library in Franklin.

Franklin Town Council Meetings • Held on the second Tuesday of each month at the Town Hall. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. The mayor and council have stated that the public is invited to attend these regular meetings.

NSGA Sugar Grove Their Community Center is open to the general public and offers inexpensive dining, movies and live entertainment every month. More Info

Pendleton County Board of Education Meetings Visit the school web site for meeting schedule, agendas for upcoming meetings and minutes of previous meetings. Web

Pendleton County Commission Meetings • Held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at the Pendleton County Courthouse — second floor across from the Circuit Clerk's office. Franklin meetings begin at 9:00 a.m. The public is invited to attend. For specific information call (304) 358-7573. Web (for agenda and minutes)
  Pendleton County Economic & Community Development Authority Meetings • Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month (usually) at the Pendleton Community Center in Franklin (7 p.m.). To address the PC-ECDA, call (304) 358-2074 to be placed on the agenda.

endleton County Health Department meets at 5:30 p.m. the first Tuesday of February, April, September and November. The July meeting is usually the second Tuesday due to Fourth of July holiday Anyone having business with the Board is welcome to attend these meetings.
Seneca Rocks Discovery Center Ongoing Events • The Discovery Center is open 9 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily during the summer season. Information on the schedule may change throughout the season, so if you are planning to attend a specific event, please contact the Discovery Center to verify it is taking place as scheduled.

The Pendleton County Family Resource Council meets the first Friday of every month at 12 noon at the Pendleton Community Bank in Franklin. All meetings are open to public and service providers. The Council is the local extension of the Eastern Regional Family Resource Network. Its goal is to identify the needs of children and families in order to maximize effective use of available services. For more information, contact Amber Rickard.
