The Pendleton
County Library is located in a
modern, comfortable building on Main Street in Franklin. The front
of the library has a convenient pull-in for quick stops and book
drops and a large parking area at the back of the building, accessible
from South Branch Street. The library houses 40,000 books, audio
books and a genealogy room. It provides Internet access with public
computers and a wireless connection. The WV interlibrary loan system
makes it possible to borrow books from any other WV library. The
Friends of the Library, a volunteer organization, holds used book
sales during the Treasure Mountain Festival in September and the
Spring Fest in May. Readers and researchers will find the library
a useful resource and a quiet sanctuary for bibliophiles.
