Pendleton
Senior and Family Services is a
private, nonprofit organization, funded by state and local government
to provide assistance to the elderly and eligible disabled. It operates
a center on Mill Road in Franklin, next to the Pendleton County
Community Building and a satellite center in Riverton at the Clinton
Hedrick Community Building. Services include reduced price midday
meals, transportation, health monitoring, social activities and
personal assistance to promote independent living. In-home services
from trained and certified homemakers are available to those who
cannot visit the centers. Non-Medicaid clients pay a sliding scale
fee for services.
