Yokum's
Stables is located on Rt. 28 a
half mile north of the junction with US Rt. 33. The entrance sign,
placed on the opposite side of the highway, points the way down
a gravel road that leads to a one-lane bridge and the stables on
the other side of the river.
There you will find child-friendly horses such that the entire family can enjoy an exciting horseback ride to the top of the famous Seneca Rocks. Experienced guides ensure the safety of every rider. Children must be at least six years old. The round-trip, including a rest for the horses at the top, takes 1½ hours. Reservations are recommended, but with 25 horses, spur-of-the-moment visits can often be accommodated. The rides depart daily at 10 a.m., 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Call Bub Yokum for availability.
